Treetops Lodge

Located in Aberdare National Park, this world-renowned rustic Treehouse on its 80th anniversary is now open after 6 months of complete renovation. This game viewing lodge was originally built in 1932 and is famous as the place where the then-Princess Elizabeth ascended to the British Throne. The father King George VI died on 5th Feb 1952 the night she spent at Treetops while on honeymoon.

Treetops lies in the path of an ancient Elephant migratory route between the Aberdare Ranges and Mt Kenya National park, and is strategically sited right in front of a natural watering hole and salt lick.


STANDARD ROOMS – All en-suite have twin beds than can be converted to king size double bed. All rooms have showers and are fitted with a luggage rack for the safari suitcase.

SUITES - With far more space than the standard rooms the 3 suites provide room to stretch and relax. Each suite has a wardrobe, bathtub with overhead shower and an extended sitting area with large windows overlooking the watering hole.


Restaurant - The dining room has a totally new look from the furniture to ambiance and fitted with large windows. Seating is on individual tables that allow privacy and illuminated by mini chandeliers making dinner a romantic affair. It is equipped with an active cooking station, modern salad counter and buffet counter. Dinner and buffet breakfast is served at the lodge.

Bar - Main bar is located next to the lounge and is a popular venue for refreshing drinks and specialty coffee while enjoying unobstructed view of animals also coming for their drink at the watering hole.
