Tawi Lodge, is located on a private conservancy of 6,000 acres just five minutes from Kimana Gate in Amboseli National Park. Amboseli National Park lies at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro (5,963m) – the world’s largest free-standing mountain. The community-run conservancy, together with African Wildlife Foundation, promotes and maintains a harmonious development for the wildlife and the Masai people along the corridor between Amboseli and the Chyulu Hills.

Tawi Lodge stands in Amboseli National Park lies 250 km south (four hours drive, one hour flight time) of Nairobi and close to the Tanzanian border (Namanga 85kms) and Mount Kilimanjaro.
The lodge is an eco-friendly operation, which takes maximum care ofthe environment and its people. It consists of 12 cottages ideallylocated on bush land facing Kilimanjaro.
Each cottage has its own wooden-deck veranda and a fabulous view ofthe highest mountain in Africa, even from the comfort of your bed oryour bathtub. Double or twin cottages, all have en suite bathroomsfitted with both a bath and shower. Each cottage has its own fireplaceand a mini bar for those very special sundowners. Lighting and watersystems are solar powered. A charging facility for cell phones and camera batteries is available. A butler service is provided for maximumprivacy and comfort.
The style of the lodge is a harmonious combination of modern (for your comfort) and traditional (to remind you that you are in Africa).
The bar and dining area is the central point of Tawi Lodge. From there, under the shade of enormous trees, you have an extensive view ofKilimanjaro and the wetlands where the animals come to drink and play.It is such a fantastic experience to enjoy your favorite drink whilewitnessing the life of the big elephants playing in the mud just a fewmeters in front of you.

Fine cuisine with selected producegrown in the wetlands of Amboseli where water from the Kilimanjarosurfaces through volcanic rocks and creates a very fertile soil.
