Sarova Mara Game Camp

Nothing quite captures the true spirit of East Africa, like a safari in Kenya’s richest game reserve, the Maasai Mara. Sarova Mara Game Camp offers front seats to nature’s most breathtaking show - the wildebeest migration. The endless plains of East Africa are the setting for the world’s greatest wildlife spectacle where, from the vast Serengeti plains to the champagne colored hills of Kenya’s Maasai Mara, over 1.4 million wildebeest and 200,000 zebra and gazelle, relentlessly tracked by Africa’s great predators, migrate in a clockwise fashion over 1,800 miles each year in search of rain ripened grass.

LOCATION

The Masai Mara is 270 miles from Nairobi (five hours by road).

Accommodation

The lodge stands on slightly raised ground, astride two streams, and amid landscaped gardens, within the world-renowned Mara.The camp offers 75 tents, each with electricity and ensuite bathrooms (with hot and cold running water and flushed WCs).

DINING & BARS

The Isokon Restaurant offers a wide range of cuisine and evening barbecues held by the swimming pool beneath the star-filled skies. The restaurant has two sections, one internal and one external with a canopy. Breakfast and lunch are buffets, whilst dinner is Table D'hote. The capacity is 150 people. The Oloip Bar is located on the ground floor and offers a blazing log fire and nightly Maasai dance and musical performances.

:: The camp offers champagne breakfasts in the bush and an evening in an authentic Maasai village (with dinner and dancing and an African buffet, which will also include game meat).

OTHER ATTRACTIONS

The camp also offers a series of massage option (Swedish, Therapeutic or Aromatherapy), which can be taken inside or outside in the wild.
