Hells Gate National Park
Hell’s Gate National Park provides an ideal venue for a truly panoramic picnic spot or an evocative camping stop over, cleft deep into the floor of the Rift valley this park provides endless biodiversity and spectacular scenery including the Fisher’s Tower, Central Tower and Njorowa gorges.
The geothermal field is one of the hottest sources of natural stream in the world with an underground water temperature of 304 degrees.
It’s a breeding ground for eagles and vultures and also 103 species of birds have been recorded. It is an important home of the lammergeyer.

Access
By Road: This park is accessible via tarmac road from Nairobi (90kms) via Naivasha Town on the Lake Road South at a junction 5km south of Naivasha.
By Air: Naivasha air strip
Climate
– Temperature ranges from 20-300 c and rainfall from 200mm – 700 mm
– Two rain seasons: Long rains – March & April & short rains – Nov/ Dece
Wildlife
Buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson’s gazelle and giraffe, babooms, serval cat and klipspringer antelopes Prolific birdlife features 103 species including lammergeyer.
