Hemingways Beach
Hemingways Resort is one of the world’s premier big-game fishing destinations (marlin, tuna, sail-fish, king fish and more).
Situated on an idyllic stretch of beach, voted ‘one of the best ten beaches in the world’ by the Sunday Times magazine, it has immediate access to the beach and offers a sophisticated but relaxed atmosphere – as suited to family holidays as to couples or groups of friends.
When it comes to beach travel, the Swahili coast, a glorious ribbon of silver and sapphire, crashing surf and bright coral, is steeped in a turbulent history pre-dating Da Gama.
The Swahili culture, a fabulous fusion of Arab, African, and Portuguese has created a pace of life, a style of cuisine and a mosaic of architecture, heritage, myth and magic that is found nowhere else in the world.
Hemingway’s Beach Resort, on Watamu Beach, is situated approximately 90 miles north of Mombasa and its beach hotels and 18 miles south of Malindi on the Turtle Bay beach at Watamu. The resort lies within the Watamu Marine National Park and is only 3 hours from Tsavo East, Kenya’s largest National Park.
