Jacaranda Beach Resort
It is a charming Italian managed Resort, dipped in an uncontaminated environment, surrounded by a tropical garden with bouganvilles.
Thanks to the informal feeling, the advantaged position, the huge spaces and the spaces between the various zones and pools, this resort is the ideal solution for a relaxing holidays.
It has been built inside the marine park, on a 50.000 square meters plot, at 7 km far from Watamu (5 km of tar roads). Malindi is 14 km away (30 minutes driving), and Mombasa international airport is 125 km far away, at about 2 hours and a half driving.
Right on a wide 1 km white sand beach, 150 meters of private beach. During the low tide you can enjoy a very evocative landscape characterized by few little sand banks better known as “Sardinia 2”.
It is equipped with sun beds and a large number of palm trees create a natural shade. Beach towels are available (with deposit).
Accommodation
There are 130 rooms: 102 classic, spread on 3 floors, furnished in Kenyan style with a typical bed with mosquito net, air con, fan, veranda or balcony. There is a phone connected with the reception, Italian plug, safety locker, blow dryer, extra fridge on request.
There are also bigger rooms that can host till 4 people(double bed + bunk bed). Communicating rooms are also available.
On the beach front there are 23 ocean rooms. They have the same characteristics of the classic ones plus the free WI-FI connection. They all have a veranda or a balcony, nicely furnished and with a favoured position. They can host 3 adults.
The 4 Jack Superior rooms are a real private oasis inside the resort: one floor Arabic style rooms, embellished with African plasters, dipped in the garden and right next to the new pool with Jacuzzi.
They are at about 40 square meters big, with a veranda in front of the sea furnished with sofa and table. They can host 3 adults, free WI-FI connection.
1 Ocean Suite with a breathtaking view. It has the same equipment and characteristic of the Ocean Villas but bigger, 45 square meters. At the check-in the fridge will be filled with some courtesy soft drinks. This smart and exclusive accommodation, suitable for couples or families is crowned with a veranda in front of the ocean.
Dining
They main panoramic restaurant is located by the central pool. Right next to it there is the brand new wellness & beauty Jacaranda Maven spa , the amphitheatre, the bazaar, the solarium.
There is a bar at the ground floor, opening from 8 to 24, disco and shows, plus a beach bar right on the beach. There is a Beach restaurant with à la carte service (it opens for dinner, extra charge) seafood specialties.
Resort Facilities
This Watamu resort has a private beach. Jacaranda Beach Ora Resort’s restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Recreational amenities include an outdoor pool and a health club. There is a full-service health spa on site. Additional property amenities include multilingual staff and a garden.

The circular reception area has a living room with a satellite aerial, where you can also watch Rai International, a small film library with Italian movies, a small library, an Exchange service and a boutique with handicraft products and antiques.
Three shows are organized weekly: the masai night, the tumblers group, dance and Giriama market.
We also organize tour by night, the gospel mass on the beach on Sunday morning, disco on the beach on Saturday night ( according to the weather)
Clients are offered of a free medical service for an hour a day (with a Kenyan doctor) and paid on call outside this hour, at the nearby Watamu Bay Resort Now.
